Water Rates

This section is for discussing water rates.
It is important to remember that residents in the surrounding communities and multifamily households begin paying the extra rate for anything over 1000 gallons.
Gregory residents begin paying the extra rate on greater than 2000 gallons.
Example:

A family spends 2001 gallons
2000 gallons = 25.35
1 gallon over 2000 = 6.29 (Every 1000 gallons over the 2000 gallon base = 6.29)
Sewer = 21.28
Trash = 26.60
Sales Tax = 2.19
Firefighter contribution = 1.00 (Support your firefighters!! You never know when you’ll need them!)
TOTAL = 82.57
WITHOUT GOING OVER 2000 GALLONS =76.28

Let’s say that the same family lives outside the city limits

1000 gallons =25.35
2nd 1000 gallons at 6.37
With Trash pick up 26.60
Firefighter contribution = 1.00
TOTAL 59.32
WITHOUT TRASH PICKUP = 32.72

Please remember that these people do not pay wastewater rates but pay the county provider or maintain a septic tank.
